Dr. Paul Sandhu contacted S/U/M to design and fabricate a medical appliance prototype to aid in a “tele-medicine” network he is currently developing to connect separate offices using high-bandwidth connections.  Using hand sketches from the physician along with gaining an understanding of the  background digital technologies in use, the appliance was 3d-modeled to be tested virtually, tweaked, and then produced full scale in a matter of weeks.
